Saudi Arabia submit OUTRAGEOUS salary offer for ex-Man Utd target

Al-Hilal remain determined to sign Napoli and Nigeria forward Victor Osimhen and have offered the 24-year-old an annual salary of €1.16 million (£1m) in a bid to convince him to move to Saudi Arabia.

Osimhen has been the subject of transfer interest all summer after netting 26 Serie A goals for Napoli last season as he helped them lift the Scudetto for the first time since 1990.

Both Chelsea and Manchester United have previously been interested, but the former have signed both Christoper Nkunku and Nicolas Jackson, while Erik ten Hag’s side have added Rasmus Hojlund from Atalanta.

Paris Saint-Germain were another club keen on Osimhen, with Napoli president Aurelio De Laurentiis even claiming that PSG were the only team who could offer to pay his €200m asking price for the player. However, they are set to sign Benfica’s Goncalo Ramos and Randal Kolo Muani has been heavily linked too.

According to Ben Jacobs, Al-Hilal remain focused on signing Osimhen, after being rejected by Kylian Mbappe, and have offered him a yearly wage of €1.16m (£1m), which is more than the €700m presented to Mbappe.

Al-Hilal have already signed Malcom, Ruben Neves, Kalidou Koulibaly and Sergej Milinkovic-Savic this summer, but reportedly want one big-name addition after missing out on Mbappe and Lionel Messi.

Moussa Diaby was also targeted before he joined Aston Villa, while Fulham’s Aleksandar Mitrovic is another player they are keen on signing.

Osimhen wants new Napoli contract

The Nigerian international is reportedly happy to extend his stay in Naples and would like to sign a new contract at Napoli, but he wants to include a release clause in the deal, according to Sky Sport Italia.

Talks over a new deal are in progress, but there is a disagreement over the release clause. While Osimhen would like to set a €120m release clause, Napoli want it to be €200m.
