Hugo Ekitike is being pushed towards a Premier League move by Paris Saint-Germain after struggling to find him a club on a permanent deal.

Sky Sports reports that a number of clubs were offered the youngster, while Brentford are considering a loan move.

PSG believe that the Bees would be an ideal place for Ekitike to develop, while they would be able to move him on next year for a higher value.

FootballTransfers’ Estimated Transfer Value algorithm has Ekitike’s valuation at €19million, while he was bought by the Ligue 1 champions for €28m after their obligation-to-buy clause kicked in this summer.

But it was an unsuccessful spell for the 21-year-old and now the club wish to move him on and sell him for a higher fee than what they paid this summer.

FootballTransfers’ story last week detailed how conversations have taken place between PSG sporting advisor Campos and West Ham technical director, Tim Steidten, but it's not a deal that the Premier League outfit were likely to pursue.

As FootballTransfers reported earlier this month, Ekitike was brought into a meeting with Campos and Luis Enrique, where he was told that he is not in the club's plans. He has accepted this but has so far not actively sought a move away, with the clock ticking.

Ekitike was admired by Newcastle last year when he was playing for Reims - it was believed at one point that deal was close, but the attacker ended up moving to PSG on a loan deal.

There he struggled for game-time, trying to make an impression with the likes of Lionel Messi, Neymar, and Kylian Mbappe among their ranks. He is now surplus to requirements.
