Romano gives Man Utd fans 'BEST NEWS' update on takeover

Fabrizio Romano has given an update on the Manchester United takeover situation.
The saga is still dragging on as we head into the final few days of the transfer window. Erik ten Hag and company have had to make do without the much-needed fresh funds they had so desired before the window opened and there still is no resolution to the ownership question in sight.
Recent reports indicated that the Qatari banker Sheikh Jassim had finally defeated INEOS billionaire Sir Jim Ratcliffe, but with the caveat that the process could yet drag on until October.

The delay has meant that United have experienced an up-and-down transfer window. While some exciting talent has been signed in Mason Mount, Andre Onana and Rasmus Hojlund, time is running out for the Red Devils to raise the necessary funds that would allow them to bring in more of Ten Hag's preferred options like Sofyan Amrabat and Jean-Clair Todibo.
Now, Fabrizio Romano has dropped an update on the takeover process.
What did Romano say?
Speaking to the United Stand, Romano said: "Sources close to Sheikh Jassim, at the moment, have no intention to comment anything, and I think that is the best news for Manchester United fans because...the only possibility to see things happening is to keep it quiet and to let them work behind the scenes."
"So, I think this is what they are trying to do on Sheikh Jassim's side, they don't want to comment, they don't want to touch on anything on this story about October, September, November. They want to stay quiet."

"They felt it was close a couple of months ago, then the situation was very slow and so they were very disappointed with the whole process. Now, they're trying to keep it quiet and I think they are still working on it because they're not denying [the rumours], they're just keeping it quiet. But at the moment, it's just time to wait and see after the transfer window what could happen."
