Liverpool are looking at Leicester City's Kiernan Dewsbury-Hall over a possible move, reports Anfield Watch.

The Reds see the Englishman as someone who could come in and help bolster the midfield as Jurgen Klopp looks to overhaul the side.

Liverpool is expected to make further midfield additions this summer, having seen two bids for Romeo Lavia rejected already - it's not clear whether Liverpool will come back in for another move for the teenager.

Sources close to the situation suggest that Liverpool's scouting team has been closely monitoring Dewsbury-Hall's progress over the past season, and they are considering whether to make an offer. The player is with the agency Wasserman, with whom Klopp's side has a good relationship.

It is thought that the player is not a direct alternative to Lavia but could leapfrog him on the list if negotiations with Southampton continue to prove tricky, with the Saints holding firm on their £50m valuation.

It comes after Klopp spoke out about his side's pre-season defeat to Bayern Munich in Singapore. He said: "Now we have to analyze. We need to look at what's physical. We did a lot in training, especially yesterday in tough circumstances. You saw that with the goals we conceded, it was mainly down to a lack of concentration.

"They were very similar situations. That's not allowed, so we need to analyze properly, and I'll have enough time to do that on the flight home.

"I hate losing. When it happens, I feel it, but it's pre-season and a strong opponent. We've had two camps in a row, and this is the last day. The most important information of all is that nobody got hurt. Really cool."

Liverpool kicks off their Premier League campaign away to Chelsea on August 13. At the moment, the side does not have a fit, recognized defensive midfielder, after the £40m exit of Fabinho to Al Ittihad.
