Harry Kane’s proposed transfer to Bayern Munich is now back on after a small hiccup, according to Ben Jacobs.

Kane, 30, is set to join the Bundesliga champions ahead of their DFL-Super Cup final against RB Leipzig on Saturday after Tottenham Hotspur accepted a €110 million (£95m) bid from Bayern.

However, the transfer hit a stumbling block in the early hours of Friday, 11 August as per Sky Germany’s Florian Plettenberg. He tweeted: “Harry Kane is now on his way to the airport in London, as he already had the green light for his flight to Munich. FC Bayern is waiting for him.

“But now Tottenham currently hindering the move and have revoked Kane's permission to fly. Kane is waiting right now every second in the car for permission to fly to Munich for a medical check.”

This information was confirmed by Jacobs, who revealed that “Kane’s move to Bayern has been delayed for now.”

However, Jacobs has now reported that “All issues now resolved. Kane will fly today. Also understand the final fee, inclusive of add-ons, is actually even higher than €120m (£104m).”

Kane to Bayern

It had previously been reported that Bayern would pay €110m (£95m) for Kane, but Spurs wanted to renegotiate despite having reportedly accepted the Bavarian’s initial offer.

Now, the north London club are said to have extracted over €120m (£104m) fee for Kane, who has just one year left on his deal at Tottenham.

If Bayern end up paying that fee, Kane could become the sixth most expensive player in football history if Spurs sell for more than the €121m Chelsea paid to land Enzo Fernandez.

However, he will be bumped down a place when Moises Caicedo’s move to Liverpool - or Chelsea if they manage to hijack the Reds’ hijack - is confirmed.

Kane has 280 goals and 64 assists in 435 Spurs appearances and he netted 30 Premier League goals as Tottenham finished eighth in the English top flight last campaign.
