Barcelona are set for a crazy Deadline Day, according to Fabrizio Romano.

The Blaugrana have struggled all summer with incomings due to their dire financial situation. The recent sales of Franck Kessie and Ousmane Dembele have somewhat eased the tension in Catalonia, but they have not been enough to solve all of the issues.

On the contrary, Barcelona have still not satisfied LaLiga's stringent Financial Fair Play demands which has now even complicated the loan signing of Joao Cancelo from Manchester City, a deal that, by all accounts, is already pretty much done.

The Spanish giants can't register all of the players in their squad, which means that they will need to raise more funds - be it from more 'levers' or sales - but the transfer deadline is fast approaching.

'Barcelona madness'

According to Fabrizio Romano, there will be 'Barcelona madness' on September 1. "Get ready," Romano announced on his YouTube channel, "because Deadline Day is going to be Barcelona madness." In addition to Ansu Fati, who is heading to Brighton on loan, there could be three more major deals.

"Let's see what happens with [Ez] Abde - at the moment there is still no green light from Barca to let him leave, but [Real] Betis will try until the end. Again, Barca, at the moment, are not approving the move, but Betis are still there, still trying, still hoping to sign Abde."

"And then, Joao Cancelo is just waiting for the green light to travel [to Barcelona]. The option-to-buy clause will be removed from the deal with Manchester City not to have any impact on the Financial Fair Play situation, but Joao Cancelo is just waiting for the green light and then he will join Barcelona on a loan deal from Man City."

DEADLINE DAY: Every confirmed transfer around Europe

"And also, we have to see: the Joao Felix Day. Because I always told you since July this Joao Felix situation will go to the end of the transfer window and now it's going to Deadline Day because Barca and Atletico Madrid are negotiating, there's a discussion ongoing, there's an exchange ongoing."

"And so, Joao Felix and Barca - the day is now. And we're entering into crucial stages. The player wants to go to Barca, he is pushing to go to Barca. Now, it's up to the clubs."
