REVEALED: Arsenal's AMBITIOUS £100m transfer plan

Arsenal are set for busy final days of the transfer window, with as many as eight players to be axed in hopes of raising £100 million in funds, according to a report.

The Gunners have had a big summer window. Keen to build on last season's surprising runners-up finish and go one better and actually win the Premier League this term, the north London club have not been afraid to splash the cash.

Indeed, Arsenal have spent the third-most on transfers this summer, and they may not be finished there. Kai Havertz, Declan Rice and Jurrien Timber have been signed permanently, while David Raya has arrived on loan to provide competition for Aaron Ramsdale. All told - including Raya's loan fee of €3.34m - the Gunners have spent €234.94m.

Timber, however, has suffered an ACL injury that will keep him out for most, if not all, of the season, meaning that the Gunners might be tempted to bring in a replacement. It's not just on the incoming front where they could yet get busy, though, there are also plenty of names that might still depart.

£100m target

According to the Daily Mail, Arsenal have set themselves the ambitious target of raising £100m from sales in the final few days of the window. To do this, as many as eight players could leave the Emirates.

Folarin Balogun is all but guaranteed to head for the exit, with Monaco close to agreeing a fee. Sky claims that Arsenal have not budged from their ridiculous £50m valuation, meaning that they could reach 50 per cent of their goal from just one departure.

Erstwhile record signing Nicolas Pepe is attracting interest from Saudi Arabia and is also expected to finally end his miserable stint in England. Moreover, the likes of Rob Holding, Kieran Tierney, Nuno Tavares, Cedric Soares and Albert Sambi Lokonga could also still depart.

Though defender Gabriel Magalhaes is officially not for sale, the Brazilian has, surprisingly, not featured prominently in Mikel Arteta's plans thus far this season and Arsenal may be tempted to soften their stance at the right price.
