Arsenal could look to cash in on Jorginho this summer despite only signing him in January, according to reports.

The Italian arrived from Chelsea in a deal worth €11.3 million to add depth to the Gunners' midfield in their bid to pip Manchester City to the title. Though Arsenal ultimately faltered, Jorginho proved to be a solid enough signing, making 16 appearances.

Arsenal boss Mikel Arteta is keen to improve his side further this summer in order to go one better next season and actually claim the Premier League title. To that end, he is keen to add Declan Rice to his roster, which would push Jorginho out of the side. With Moises Caicedo also a potential arrival at the Emirates, the Brazil-born Italian could soon be left on the outside looking in.

Therefore, the Gunners are willing to entertain offers for the man they only signed five months ago.

Jorginho on the market

According to 90min, the 31-year-old's Arsenal future is up in the air this summer and a familiar face is interested in reuniting with the midfielder. The person in question is Maurizio Sarri.

The current Lazio boss coached Jorginho at Napoli and Chelsea, bringing him to Stamford Bridge in 2018. The report claims that Lazio have informed Arsenal of their interest in the 31-year-old.

In Rome, Jorginho would strengthen a side that finished second last season and is surely keen to challenge for the title properly next term.

However, the controversial capital club aren't the only ones interested in the Arsenal man as AC Milan and Scudetto winners Napoli are also said to be eyeing a move for the Italy international. Jorginho knows the latter well, having played 160 competitive games for Napoli before his Chelsea transfer.

With Arsenal competing on multiple fronts next season, they may also try to keep hold of their midfielder seeing as though Granit Xhaka is on his way to Leverkusen and they need enough depth to be competitive in the league and in Europe.
