Manchester United have been told that only a ‘crazy’ offer will be enough to sign Randal Kolo Muani from Eintracht Frankfurt this summer.

The 24-year-old striker is hot property, having bagged 16 goals in 36 appearances in all competitions since joining Eintracht from Nantes last summer.

Kolo Muani also made a name for himself on the international stage at the 2022 World Cup, scoring France’s second goal as they beat Morocco in the semi-finals and coming agonisingly close to bagging a last-gasp winner against Argentina in the final.

Man Utd are set to be in the market for a new striker this off-season, having parted ways with Cristiano Ronaldo back in November.

Harry Kane and Victor Osimhen are the two most prominent names being linked with a move to Old Trafford; Atalanta hotshot Rasmus Hojlund is also said to be of interest.

Kolo Muani has been touted as a potential option, too, but Man Utd might have to pay over the odds to secure his services: according to transfer expert Fabrizio Romano, Eintracht intend to hold into him until at least the end of the 2023/24 campaign.

Eintracht tell suitors to show them the Muani

However, Romano adds that the 2021/22 Europa League winners may be swayed by an extraordinary bid for Kolo Muani, who our Estimated Transfer Value (ETV) model currently prices at €65.6m.

It was reported last month that Eintracht had slapped an enormous €100m price tag on Kolo Muani – who they picked up on a free transfer.

Such a fee would make him one of Man Utd’s most expensive signings of all time – and their most expensive striker ahead of Romelu Lukaku, who completed an €84.7m switch from Everton in 2017.
