Chelsea defender Malang Sarr could end his loan spell at AS Monaco in favour of a move to Sevilla, according to FootMercato.

Sarr has made 12 appearances for Monaco this season, starting just six of them, despite joining the Ligue 1 side in search of first-team football.

The defender's agent Federico Pastorello even acknowledged that his client's loan deal could be terminated a month ago.

"He is a boy I would see very well in Italy. At Monaco his playing time is limited, but they are happy with him, we will see if they will let him leave as soon as offers arrive," he told Tuttomercatoweb.

"But clearly there is a bit of disappointment on the part of the boy, he would have liked to find more playing time by moving from Chelsea. There’s a whole second half of the season, we’ll see. We will work on it."

Sarr doesn't look like he'll be moving to Italy though. He is wanted by Sevilla for the remainder of the campaign, reports the Daily Mail.

Jorge Sampaoli's side are currently fourth in La Liga, but he is looking to add to his defensive options.

Chelsea's latest transfer business

The Blues have been the busiest team in the January transfer window, signing the likes of Mykhailo Mudryk and Joao Felix.

But owner Todd Boehly is far from done with making deals happen this month, as PSV star Noni Madueke is set to join the west London club.

The youngster offers manager Graham Potter yet another attacking option as Chelsea look to climb up the Premier League table.

A midfielder and a right-back are next on the agenda, with Brighton's Moises Caicedo linked with a move to Stamford Bridge.
