Revealed: Price tag for Arsenal and Liverpool target

Lens midfielder Seko Fofana has been in impressive form for the Ligue 1 side over the last few years and is attracting interest from around Europe as of late.
The Ivorian has been an integral part of the Lens side in recent years and considering their rise, he’s been one of their core components, and that hasn’t gone unnoticed.
Despite playing in a deeper role for the club, he has registered two goals and two assists for them in 12 appearances so far this campaign.

Now, there is interest in him from Arsenal and Liverpool and both may have to fork out a big sum to land their target anytime in the near future.

Fofana will not come cheap
Lens only signed Fofana in 2020 from Udinese for a fee of around €8.5 million, and his stock has grown considerably since given his fine displays in Ligue 1.
Now, according to journalist Fabrizio Romano, if Arsenal or Liverpool want to move for him, they will have to fork out nearly five times that sum.

“There’s been some speculation in recent days linking Seko Fofana as a target for Arsenal and Liverpool. Seko Fofana has new agent now and he’s obviously working to find solutions for 2023.
“At the moment it is still early, nothing advanced; but he can be an opportunity not just for Premier League clubs, also in other leagues. His price tag could be around €40 million.”
Liverpool have needed reinforcements in midfield after a complicated start to the season and Fofana could be the ideal target, given the Reds’ issues in that department as of late.

Arsenal, meanwhile, are in a title charge after a great start to the campaign and could do with some January reinforcements – Fofana could be that player for them.
Whether either of them make a move for Fofana remains to be seen but what’s clear is that the 27-year-old won’t come cheap.
