Rabiot vs McTominay: Man Utd and Juve fans vote on sensational swap

Manchester United and Juventus fans have both been complaining about the same thing in recent years; the poor quality of their central midfield.
For Juventus supporters, the brunt of the complaints have been focused on the likes of Aaron Ramsey, Rodrigo Bentancur and, of course, Adrien Rabiot.

For Man Utd fans, it has been the McFred midfield duo of Scott McTominay and Fred that has frustrated the Old Trafford faithful.
So it was rather ironic when the news broke that Man Utd were in negotiations to sign Rabiot from Juve.

Not only that but there were also some sensational – yet as of now unconfirmed – reports that Man Utd have offered McTominay in part-exchange.
So given that both players are currently unwanted by the majority of the fans of their clubs, we decided to ask Juventus and Man Utd supporters on Twitter which midfielder they would rather have in their team.
It should be noted that many of the replies complained that there wasn’t a ‘neither’ option!
Rabiot beats McTominay in vote
Nevertheless, Rabiot was the clear winner as he took home almost 70 per cent of the vote. Almost 1000 fans had voted as of Tuesday morning.

Man Utd have agreed a transfer fee of €18 million – plus €6m in add-ons – for Rabiot, according to multiple sources.
Rabiot and his mother are now in discussions with Man Utd over personal terms.
The 27-year-old joined Juventus in 2019, winning one Scudetto at the club.
