Cody Gakpo has hinted he could still leave PSV before the transfer window closes, with a host of Premier League clubs monitoring the situation.

The winger was strongly linked wth Manchester United but their interest has cooled after they signed Ajax's Antony, while Southampton have reportedly had an offer turned down for the Gakpo.

Everton, Leeds and Arsenal have also pursued Gakpo in recent weeks and the player revealed he would consider his options going into the final days of the window.

Gakpo commented on Antony's €100 million move to United, saying: "Antony to Man Utd? Nice for him...but for me and my future, I think that has no influence.

"It's like a puzzle so in the next days I will see which puzzle fits best – for me, it'd be certainly not bad to stay at PSV. We'll see."

PSV boss Ruud van Nistelrooy admitted that the cannot rule out the possibility of the 23-year-old leaving before deadline day.

Van Nistelrooy said: "There have been rumours about him since the beginning of the season almost eight weeks ago, and we have not seen Cody changing his behaviour up to now.

"He is not distracted, he is focused on the games he has to play. For a young guy like him it is special to see that attitude."

What does the future hold for Gakpo?

PSV had previously been holding out for a fee of around €50m for Gakpo but they failed to receive any concrete offers in that region.

The Eredivise side are thought to have since lowered their asking price and they are looking for at least £25m for a player who still has four years left on his contract.

United had held the biggest interest in the Dutchman but their priority was always Antony and they are likely out of the race for Gakpo after securing their main man.

Southampton are believed to have targeted Gakpo as their marquee signing for the summer and they made a bid of £21m to PSV which was turned down.

Gakpo has already grabbed three goals and three assists in three league games so far this season and PSV are already reported to have lined up Calvin Stengs of Nice as a replacement.
