Harry Kane and Antonio Conte may not seem like they come as a pair, but for Tottenham Hotspur they certainly do.

In fact, the club need to keep hold of Conte, or Kane will leave.

That's the state of affairs according to the Express. The report details how Kane was delighted that Tottenham were able to attract a manager of Conte's calibre mid-season, and believed it signalled their intent to rise back up the table.

His thoughts of an exit soon disappeared, but with Conte's future at the club unsure, rumours of a Kane departure have resurfaced.

Of course, Conte's situation at the club may bear no relevance to Kane, but it does seem as though he may look for a summer move again if the Italian is no longer the Spurs boss.

However, Tottenham will need to think carefully about the implications of potentially sacking Conte. Results haven't picked up massively, but with a good run-in they could still achieve European football, and there aren't any better managers on the market.

Furthermore, to risk losing Kane would be quite frankly a questionable decision. He could well stay if Conte goes, but it does seem as though it could be a case of Tottenham keeping hold of both of them, or letting them both go.

If they choose the latter option, it could spell disaster for a club who've become so reliant on their talismanic striker.

Where could Kane go?

The obvious answer would be Manchester City. Pep Guardiola's side tried so hard to sign the England captain last summer, but ultimately came up short with Daniel Levy's asking price too high.

However, this year that could be different if Kane forces an exit, especially as his contract with have two years left this summer, providing Spurs with the last chance for a big payday.

The other options would be Manchester United or Real Madrid. Man Utd were also linked in 2021, and with Cristiano Ronaldo no longer the player he once was, they could move for Kane again.

As for Real Madrid, if Erling Haaland doesn't join, then Kane would be a more than able alternative.

Spurs will have to make a decision, and it's one that could seriously affect the club.
