Which teams have spent the most on transfers this summer?
Liverpool have spent the most money on new signings of any club in world football during the 2025 summer transfer window so far.
Following their triumph during the 2024-25 Premier League season, the Reds have backed Arne Slot in the market with several high-profile signings as they look to defend their crown.
Liverpool have signed Florian Wirtz for a club-record fee of €125 million, while they have also purchased Hugo Ekitike, Milos Kerkez, Jeremie Frimpong and Armin Pesci, amounting to a whopping €303.68m.
Chelsea, who have been serial spenders under the BlueCo consortium ownership, have racked up the second-highest expenditure during the summer window so far.
Enzo Maresca’s side have spent a combined €235.47m on the signings of Joao Pedro, Jamie Gittens, Liam Delap, Estevao Willian, Dario Essugo, Mamadou Sarr and Kendry Paez.
Arsenal sit third with an outlay of €224.2m, courtesy of the arrivals of Viktor Gyokeres, Martin Zubimendi, Noni Madueke, Cristhian Mosquera, Christian Norgaard and Kepa Arrizabalaga.
Manchester City are in fourth place after spending €176.9m on six new signings: Tijjani Reijnders, Rayan Ait-Nouri, Rayan Cherki, James Trafford, Sverre Nypan and Marcus Bettinelli.
Real Madrid are fifth, having invested €167.5m on new recruits after a disappointing season. Dean Huijsen, Alvaro Carreras, Franco Mastantuono and Trent Alexander-Arnold have joined Los Blancos.
Despite heading into the summer on a reported budget of just €100m, Man Utd have shelled out €153.2m on Matheus Cunha, Bryan Mbeumo and Diego Leon, even though they have struggled to offload players.
Atletico Madrid splashed the cash in 2024 and are doing so again in 2025, bringing in €153m worth of talent so far. Alex Baena has commanded the largest fee.
Promoted Premier League side Sunderland are showing major ambition in the market by splurging €141.4m on signings in a bid to stave off relegation. The Black Cats have shattered their transfer record twice this summer.
Tottenham are the final Premier League side on this list, with an investment of €140.6m after winning the Europa League. Mohammed Kudus is Spurs' marquee arrival this summer.
Serie A giants Juventus complete the top 10 with an €118.5m spend. The majority of this money has been spent on permanent deals for players who were on loan with the Bianconeri last term.
