Chelsea face an important summer in the transfer market as they look to bounce back from two poor domestic campaigns.

Although Todd Boehly has overseen a spend of more than €1 billion on new players since arriving at the club in 2022, there has been no success to show for it, with the Stamford Bridge outfit finishing 12th last season and on course for another disappointing finish this time around.

Mauricio Pochettino arrived at the club last summer with the hope of turning their fortunes around, but another mid-table finish is on the cards for the richly assembled squad – and supporters are not happy.

Pochettino may even be sacked before the 2024-25 campaign starts, with his future under threat after a 5-0 loss to London rivals Arsenal.

Chelsea continue to target a raft of promising young players, but with the squad currently not delivering on the field, might they turn their attentions to more established stars going forward?

Napoli striker Victor Osimhen headlines Chelsea’s summer transfer targets, but the Blues are also looking at alternatives, and many other deals could well be completed in a bid to get their squad into shape.

Our Chelsea transfer live blog brings you all the latest news surrounding the Blues, including exclusives from our own reporters as well as checking out what the other big names are saying (including the likes of Fabrizio Romano and David Ornstein).

There are expected to be many moves this summer with players coming and going, and the Stamford Bridge rumour mill is already in full swing.

Arsenal legend tips Rashford to the Gunners over Chelsea

Marcus Rashford was left out the England squad for the Euros which has done nothing to dampen the speculation over his future at Manchester United.

Should he move on from Old Trafford, Arsenal legend Emmanuel Petit believes he would suit the Gunners rather than, say, Chelsea.

"Would Rashford be good at Arsenal? Give me the paper, and let me sign it for him right now! Rashford in a good environment would be incredible for the Gunners as they all look miserable at United," he told Boyle Sports.

"I saw what happened with the fan and I understand his frustration, so if Rashford wants to leave, he’s more than welcome at Arsenal and the door is open for him. Havertz was in a strange environment at Chelsea and he wasn’t happy, but he has smiled at Arsenal and I can finally see his teeth - I want that for Rashford."

New deal for Chelsea wonderkid

The 18-year-old has been with the club since he was 14 and has penned a new contract to extend his stay until 2026.

Arsenal, Man Utd and Chelsea to battle for Guirassy

Arsenal, Man Utd and Chelsea have all been linked with a move for Stuttgart striker Serhou Guirassy.

The striker has been in sensational form for the German side this campaign, with 30 goals scored in 27 starts in all competitions. At the beginning of the campaign, he scored 14 goals in his first eight games which broke a record previously held by Robert Lewandowski.

Thanks to a release clause, he is available for as little as £15 million this summer. (Express)

Chelsea tried to sign Darwin Nunez from Liverpool

Fans are speculating that Chelsea could attempt to sign Darwin Nunez from Liverpool this summer.

The Uruguayan's future at Anfield is up in the air as he fell out with Jurgen Klopp towards the end of the campaign, though it remains to be seen how he will get on with new boss Arne Slot.

The Times previously reported that Chelsea tried to lure Nunez to Stamford Bridge after his maiden season at Anfield.

Chelsea will allow Lukaku to leave

Chelsea will allow Romelu Lukaku to leave if a bid of £38 million comes in.

The Blues broke their transfer record to bring Lukaku back to the club in 2021, but he failed to live up to expectations and has a couple of loan spells away at Inter and Roma.

Napoli chief aims dig at Osimhen

Napoli president Aurelio De Laurentiis has aimed a sly dig at want-away striker Victor Osimhen.

The Nigerian is likely to leave Naples this summer and has been strongly linked with Paris Saint-Germain, Chelsea, Arsenal and Manchester United. His departure will come after an injury hit season in which he has missed 16 games.

“You can’t force coaches to train a club or you can’t make sure that your first striker scores 28 goals and that he is not ill and that perhaps he participated in 50% of the matches he should have played," De Laurentiis said this week.
