Exclusive: Arsenal in positive Rodrygo talks
FootballTransfers understands that Arsenal have held positive talks with Real Madrid over a fee for Rodrygo as the Gunners seek an alternative after missing out on Nico Williams.
Rodrygo has still not made a decision on whether he wants to leave Real Madrid, but Arsenal scout Paulo Xavier has spoken to the Brazilian's father. He maintains a close relationship with the family after previously bringing Rodrygo to Spain.
Arsenal are ready to make Rodrygo one of their top earners if he gives the green light for a transfer.
Arsenal agree Norgaard deal
Arsenal have struck a deal to sign Brentford captain Christian Norgaard as a replacement for departing midfielder Thomas Partey, who is refusing to extend his contract.
Norgaard emerged as a top target due to his vast experience and low cost, with the Denmark international set to cost less than €20m.
The 31-year-old is expected to become Arsenal's third signing of the summer after Martin Zubimendi and Kepa Arrizabalaga.
Gyokeres to force through move
Viktor Gyokeres has informed Sporting CP that he will not play or train for the club again amid the ongoing dispute over his future.
The two parties have still not reconciled after Sporting reneged on their alleged agreement to let the striker leave for €70 million this summer.
Gyokeres is keen on a move to Arsenal, and his latest actions illustrate that he is ready to force through a move by any means necessary.
Sesko sends Arsenal message
Benjamin Sesko has sent Arsenal fans into a frenzy with his latest social media activity amid the ongoing talks over a move to the Emirates.
The Slovenia international has followed the Gunners on Instagram, which fans believe is a clear hint that he wants to join.
Arsenal remain in talks with RB Leipzig over a fee, while personal terms have also not yet been finalised with Sesko.
Arsenal to sign Kepa this week
Arsenal will finalise the signing of Chelsea goalkeeper Kepa Arrizabalaga this week after holding positive talks with the Spaniard over the past couple of weeks.
The shot-stopper is set to challenge David Raya for the No.1 spot and is expected to cost around €6m due to a release clause in his deal.
Arrizabalaga was picked as Arsenal's new top goalkeeper target after the Gunners missed out on Joan Garcia to Barcelona.
Fernandes slipping away from Arsenal
Arsenal have been keeping a close eye on Porto full-back Martim Fernandes in recent months as the 19-year-old enjoyed a breakout season.
However, the Portuguese looks to be slipping away from the Gunners as Bayer Leverkusen have decided to step up their pursuit.
The Bundesliga outfit are now in pole position for his signature, but it's unlikely that they will pay his €60m release clause.
