Chelsea, Real Madrid and Liverpool 'clearly charmed' by wonderkid tipped for €100m transfer

Jorrel Hato has appeared on the radar of several top European clubs, including Premier League giants Chelsea and Liverpool, according to reports in the English media.

The Ajax centre-back made his debut for the Netherlands international team last week and has been one of the few bright spots in the Amsterdam team's shirt this season.

It is, therefore, expected that the top clubs will make an attempt to pry the 17-year-old prodigy from the Johan Cruijff ArenA during the forthcoming January transfer window.

Atletico Madrid, Bayern Munich, Real Madrid, Chelsea, AC Milan, Liverpool and also Borussia Dortmund are said to have the defender in their sights.

These top clubs have already sent scouts to Ajax matches several times and are clearly charmed by Hato, who has not missed a single minute this season in both the Europa League and the Eredivisie.

Hato Ajax’s first €100m star?

In order to take Hato away from Amsterdam, these sides will have to take a considerable asking price into account.

The defender currently has an Estimated Transfer Value of €24.9m euros and, according to journalist Suleyman Ozturk of Voetbal International, he can earn a considerable amount of money for Ajax: “He has made his debut in the Dutch team. Has worn the captain's armband and has yet to turn 18. Perhaps it will be the first Ajax player to be sold for more than €100m.”

Presently, Antony’s move to Manchester United for €95m is Ajax’s most expensive sale ever.

Hato currently has a contract with Ajax that expires in the summer of 2025, so it is imperative for the Amsterdam team to extend the deal quickly.

According to Ajax expert Mike Verweij, Hato is open to a longer stay.

“Then that will be worked out,” Verweij said in De Telegraaf 's Kick-Off.

According to the journalist and Ajax watcher, Hato's salary will increase considerably. “He is one of the great talents. He is such a great talent that you are willing to pay a lot of money for it,” he said.
