Napoli set new Victor Osimhen transfer demand
Galatasaray are still yet to reach an agreement over a summer deal for Victor Osimhen and they have now received a fresh update from Napoli.
The Turkish giants are pushing to complete the signing of Osimhen before the start of the 2025-26 campaign and they are currently locked in talks with Napoli after finalising personal terms with the Nigeria superstar.
Galatasaray are willing to trigger Osimhen’s €75 million release clause, but they are determined to avoid paying this fee in one lump sum. Instead, they want to split the payment over multiple years.
However, Football Italia now claim that Napoli president Aurelio De Laurentiis is demanding for Galatasaray to pay €50m immediately and the remaining €25m within the next year.
Negotiations are still ongoing between the two clubs, but a deal has not yet been finalised, despite the fact that Osimhen is desperate to complete a permanent move to Istanbul.
The 26-year-old spent last season on loan at Galatasaray and he notched 45 goal contributions in 41 appearances for the club as they won their second consecutive Turkish top flight title.
Victor Osimhen wants Galatasaray move
Osimhen was offered a €160m contract proposal by Al-Hilal during the pre-Club World Cup transfer window, but he has rejected a move to Saudi Arabia in order to prioritise a permanent move back to Galatasaray.
Arsenal, Chelsea, Liverpool and Manchester United have also been linked with Osimhen in recent months, however he has set his sights on returning to Turkey.
Despite this, Galatasaray are yet to submit a suitable offer to Napoli and although the deal feels inevitable, Osimhen’s proposed move to Istanbul is far from guaranteed as things stand.
