Tammy Abraham was the toast of Rome on Sunday after scoring just one minute into the Derby della Capitale.

Abraham turned home from close range following a corner to send Roma’s fans wild in their derby against bitter rivals Lazio at the Stadio Olimpico.

The Englishman then doubled Roma’s advantage on 22 minutes as he volleyed in at the far post from Rick Karsdorp’s cross.

It was a dream derby for the striker who run Lazio’s centre backs Luiz Felipe and Francesco Acerbi ragged.

Roma completely dominated the first half and went 3-0 up when Lorenzo Pellegrini curled home a brilliant free kick into the top-corner.

Abraham completed a €40 million transfer last summer to Jose Mourinho's side - with another €5m in bonuses - after finding himself surplus to requirements at Chelsea.

And while Chelsea have a buyback option on Abraham for €80m in 2024, they may well be regretting letting the Englishman go.

How many goals has Tammy Abraham scored for Roma?

Still in March, Abraham has already scored 23 goals in all competitions from 40 games.

That makes him the highest scorer of all time for a Roma player in their first season. The previous highest debut season scorers were Gabriel Batistuta and Vincenzo Montella, who both scored 21 goals.

But more specifically from Chelsea’s point of view, Abraham has blown away every forward from the Blues.

How many goals have Chelsea's forwards scored?

Abraham has 15 league goals, while Chelsea’s top forward scorer in the Premier League is Kai Havertz with six. Romelu Lukaku has five, Hakim Ziyech four, Christian Pulisic four, Timo Werner one and Callum Hudson-Odoi one. Chelsea’s top-scorer outright in the Premier League is Mason Mount with eight.

In all competitions, Abraham has almost double the amount of goals as Chelsea’s top scorer – 23 to Lukaku’s 12.

Meanwhile, Havertz has 11, Ziyech eight, Werner seven, Pulisic six and Hudson-Odoi three.

Abraham was also considerably cheaper for Roma in terms of transfer fee than most of the Chelsea signings above. Lukaku cost €115m, Havertz €77m and flop Werner €60m.
