Rangers star Dujon Sterling was charged for a road traffic offence just hours after posting a dig aimed at Celtic manager Wilfried Nancy on social media.

Sterling was part of the Rangers team that picked up a 3-1 victory over Celtic at Parkhead on Saturday, coming from a goal down at the break to steamroller their opponents in the second half.

After playing his role in ending an astonishing 152-game run in which the Hoops had led at home and not been beaten, the former Chelsea youth was involved in a smash in Glasgow.

Police Scotland told TalkSport: “Around 1:25am on Sunday, 4 January, 2026, police received a report of a one-vehicle crash on West Graham Street, Glasgow.

“There were no injuries reported. The driver, a 26-year-old man, was arrested and charged in connection with road traffic offences.

“He’s expected to appear at court at a later date.”

Sterling in social media attack on Nancy

Previously, Sterling had lit up social media with a dig clearly aimed towards embattled Celtic boss Nancy.

He posted an image identical to the one that Nancy posted in response to fans of Rangers’ Glasgow rivals. It was a Venn diagram showing ‘things you can control’ and ‘things that matter’, with an arrow between them pointing to ‘what you should focus on’.

The Frenchman now looks closer to the sack than ever, with Celtic having lost a staggering six games from their last eight.

Pressure mounts on Celtic boss

Former Rangers striker Kris Boyd told Sky Sports that he believes that Celtic should not act too quickly in sacking the former Columbus Crew manager.

"I wouldn't be making any knee-jerk reactions if I was Celtic. Patience is a virtue,” he told Sky Sports after Rangers’ victory.

Ex-Celtic hitman Chris Sutton was more scathing, though.

“Wilfried Nancy, one way Wilf. It’s not working. He’ll be fortunate to survive this,” he told Sky Sports.

Sutton then added on X: “18 goals conceded in 8 games… one way Wilf will not change but it’s on whoever made the call to bring Wilf in if they knew he was going to be stubborn and not adapt. Bad decision after bad decision this season has plagued Celtic as a club. Time to move fast and be decisive…”
