Kylian Mbappe extended his contract with Paris Saint-Germain last month, and plans are already being put in place over how to have a successful three years.

It is believed that Mbappe will have some influence over the club’s long-term decisions, especially in terms of the team’s players and coaching staff.

In a bid to bring the Champions League to Paris, the French club, along with Mbappe, have identified 14 names that can no longer be at the club, including 13 players.

Who is set to leave PSG?

The first name to go would be Mauricio Pochettino, which wouldn’t come as a surprise after their disappointing season and the departure of Sporting Director Leonardo.

The biggest name to leave from the playing squad would be Neymar, who has a contract until 2025 and even admitted his wish to stay, but he may not be around for much longer.

There have been links to a move away for Neymar, but considering his quality and contract, it will be a difficult task to sell Neymar, especially with the price that he will command.

Other names heavily involved with the first-team set-up could also possibly go, including midfielders Danilo Pereira, Ander Herrera and Julian Draxler.

Additionally, Leandro Paredes is another name that has been said to not fit within the new project, and there has been interest in him from Juventus, so a move to Serie A could be a possibility.

Full-backs Thilo Kehrer and Laywin Kurzawa could be out as well – the former has interest from Bundesliga clubs, while the latter hasn’t featured much all season, so he wouldn’t cost much to buy.

Mauro Icardi also hasn’t made much of an impact at PSG, and considering his career with Inter, there is plenty of interest in him from Italy.

Spaniards Juan Bernat and Pablo Sarabia are two more names – the former, like many others, has failed to make a mark, while the latter has spent the last season on loan at Sporting in Portugal.

The controversy surrounding Idrissa Gueye and his refusal to not support Ligue 1’s anti-homophobic stance has also pushed him closer to the exit door.

Other squad names such as Colin Dagba and Sergio Rico are also likely to be out of the club after largely underwhelming spells in the French capital.

In all, there is going to be a huge overhaul at the Parc de Princes this season as PSG look to build a new team that is capable of challenging Europe’s elite.
