PSG are trying to get revenge on Real Madrid for signing Kylian Mbappe last summer by plundering one of Los Blancos’ major talents this time around, while the Bernabeu side is pushing for a player to leave over wage fears.

Endrick finds himself in the viewfinder of PSG, with the Ligue 1 side ready to offer the 18-year-old a significant salary boost to move to France this summer.

Mbappe, who joined Madrid as a free agent last year in a controversial deal, is one of the factors that has prevented Endrick from making a big splash at the Bernabeu this season. Having arrived last summer in a €47.5 million deal from Palmeiras, he has played little over 700 minutes of first-team football and has just one goal in LaLiga to his credit.

PSG are set to try to take advantage of the teenager’s uncertain status by making a summer move and, crucially, providing the South American with a lavish contract that will see the player double his salary, according to Real Madrid Confidencial.

On top of this, it is claimed that he would be “guaranteed” a starting spot at the Champions League semi-finalists – something that is clearly not on the cards at the Bernabeu in the immediate future.

The report does not state what type of transfer fee PSG are willing to pay for Endrick, nor which of the superstar forward line of Ousmane Dembele, Khvicha Kvaratskhelia, Desire Doue or Bradley Barcola he might replace at Parc des Princes.

Endrick is under contract at Real Madrid until 2030 and has an Estimated Transfer Value (ETV) of €46.8m.

Real Madrid push for Alaba exit

If Endrick’s departure from Real Madrid still seems far-fetched, a more realistic exit surrounds veteran defender David Alaba.

Signed on a free transfer from Bayern Munich in 2023, the Austria international has suffered from repeated injury issues and now The Athletic reports that Carlo Ancelotti’s side are ready to let the 32-year-old defender go.

Alaba, who has a year left to run on his contract, has become a financial burden, with his performances even before his latest injury setback raising cause for concern.

While Real Madrid may wish a sale, it may be difficult to manufacture given his large wages and chronic physical unreliability over the course of the last 18 months. Alaba would certainly represent a major gamble for any buying club.
