Barcelona to make SEVEN signings after financial injection
Barcelona’s summer transfer market is finally set to get underway in earnest thanks to the signing of no fewer than seven players thanks to a financial injection.
The Catalans have been frustrated by their financial difficulties this summer, with these preventing them from making a serious run to sign Lionel Messi as a free agent and also denying them the possibility of hijacking Real Madrid’s plans to sign PSG star Kylian Mbappe, despite having an interest in the France star.
President Joan Laporta is about to cut Barcelona free from some of their constraints, according Cadena SER.

Laporta has held a meeting with the board to discuss how to manage a new financial injection that will allow them to register their new signings and also contract renewals with LaLiga.
Barcelona, who won LaLiga last season, which was Xavi’s first full campaign in charge, will add three new faces to their squad.

Furthermore, Barcelona will re-sign four players: Ronald Araujo, Sergi Roberto, Marcos Alonso and Inaki Pena.
Barcelona still pressing to make sales
Although this represents a significant set forward for Xavi’s side, they will continue to press forward with the sales of several players.
Alex Collado, Nico Gonzalez, Sergino Dest, Franck Kessie and Ferran Torres remain transfer listed by Barcelona, who could also listen to offers for Ez Abde, who is a player Xavi appreciates but could be allowed to leave for the correct price.
Should Barcelona raise funds from these deals, it could open doors for them late in the transfer window, with Manchester City’s Bernardo Silva one of the players who is continuously linked with a switch to Camp Nou.
