Jude Bellingham: Real Madrid & Dortmund agree record-breaking fee

Real Madrid and Borussia Dortmund have agreed a record-breaking fee for the transfer of Jude Bellingham.
Dortmund have announced that Real will pay €103m plus add-ons for Bellingham, with the add-ons potentially reaching €30.9m.
This puts Bellingham in the top three most expensive Real Madrid signings of all time and the second biggest ever Borussia Dortmund sale after Ousmane Dembele to Barcelona.
Only formalities are required before the transfer becomes official with Bellingham set to undergo a Real Madrid medical before the end of the week.
Madrid beat Man City to sign Bellingham
Madrid have beaten Manchester City and Liverpool among others to the signing of the 19-year-old.

Bellingham has agreed a contract until 2029 with the Spanish giants.
Madrid emerged as winners in the race to sign Bellingham in recent weeks, moving ahead of Liverpool, Chelsea and other interested parties.
Liverpool had been considered as favourites earlier on in the season for the Dortmund star due to their excellent relationship with the player and his family.
But Madrid moved ahead in the race and made him their number one midfield target for 2023.
Madrid are in the process of renewing their legendary midfield, with Casemiro joining Man Utd last summer and both Luka Modric and Toni Kroos seeing their contracts expire at the end of the season.
Bellingham is seen as the perfect player to complement Aurelien Tchouameni, who was signed for €100 million from Monaco last year.
Bellingham has enjoyed a brilliant 2022-23 season with Borussia Dortmund but fell just short of winning the Bundesliga as, without him, his could only manage a 2-2 draw at home to Mainz on the final day of the season. That gifted the title to Bayern Munich.
Bellingham was one of the young stars of the 2022 World Cup, scoring one, assisting one and being arguably England’s best player as they reached the quarter-finals.
Dortmund were always expected to sell their star man this summer, having decided against losing him in 2022 during the same window that they lost Erling Haaland to Man City for €60m.
