Jude Bellingham is one of football’s most talked about players at the minute and it comes as no surprise given his impressive showings at the World Cup.

Bellingham has had a fine World Cup for England so far, earning a starting role and was excellent in the Three Lions’ last 16 win over Senegal on Sunday evening.

However, there isn’t clarity that Real Madrid would be able to financially compete with the English sides as they look to secure Bellingham’s signature.

It was expected earlier in the season that Bellingham would cost around €150 million, but it may be slightly higher than that after his World Cup performances.

According to SER Deportivos, Premier League clubs are able to match that fee, but Real Madrid would not be willing to go that far to secure the Englishman’s signature.

Real Madrid may have to invest in other areas of the squad and that may not justify spending such a big sum on one player, which may put them off such a deal.

Los Blancos have been looking to strengthen in attack, with names such as Rafael Leao linked to the club, and they may tempted to make a move for other players.

From the Premier League, Liverpool remain the club most interested and most likely to move for Bellingham as interest has been strong for several months.

Both them and Manchester United have been tracking Bellingham’s progress since he was emerging at Birmingham City and were keen to make a move, but the player rejected them for a Bundesliga transfer.

Where Bellingham ends up remains to be seen, but what’s certain is that it will be one of the biggest transfers in the history of the sport.
