Vini Jr’s agent jets into Real Madrid and makes deal BREAKTHROUGH after €230m bid
Vinicius Junior’s future is close to being settled, with Real Madrid making a major breakthrough in negotiations over his new deal following the intervention of the player’s agent.
Real Madrid are close to securing the renewal of the Brazil international star, with AS reporting that the club is standing by him at a difficult period in his career.
Vini has faced serious criticism from fans, unhappy at the role he played in the sacking of Xabi Alonso and also disappointed by his form in recent times.
But the 25-year-old came roaring back against Monaco, scoring in his side’s thumping 6-1 success at the Bernabeu to at least temporarily silence some of his critics.
This was done under the vision of his agent, Frederico Pena, the head of Roc Nation Brasil, who was in the stands to oversee his client’s performance – and conduct fresh negotiations towards his renewal.
€230m offer made
Vinicius Junior has 18 months left on his Real Madrid deal, which has made him hot property on the transfer market.
Either he signs a new deal before the summer or he is put up for sale, with Los Blancos not in a position to turn down a monster offer for the player.
Interest particularly comes from the Saudi Pro League, where an unnamed club have even launched a €230 million bid for the player.
This has been knocked back by Madrid, who are intent on retaining the services of the former Flamengo star.
Vini Junior on new Real Madrid deal
The player spoke after the Monaco match and assured fans that he is not in a rush to decide his future.
“I’ve one more year left on my contract. I trust the president and he trusts me. There’s no rush,” he said.
AS’ report suggest this is downplaying the urgency of the situation, but back by president Florentino Perez and still having the appetite to remain at Real Madrid, it appears that it’s a matter of time before the deal is signed.
