Fabrizio Romano Transfer News: Barcelona DONE DEAL, Klopp Real Madrid to U-TURN, Kante HIJACK
Fabrizio Romano has provided some massive updates on the biggest transfer stories from around Europe, including the latest on Jurgen Klopp, N'Golo Kante and Marc-Andre Ter Stegen.
Premier League clubs interested in Kante
Speaking on his YouTube channel, Romano revealed that Premier League clubs are exploring the possibility of hijacking N'Golo Kante's move to Fenerbahce.
"Fenerbahce are pushing and pushing to try to get the N'Golo Kante deal done with Al-Ittihad. The agreement with the player is almost done, just fixing some details. Fenerbahce are insisting. Why? Because they know a Premier League club over the weekend called the agents of Kante.
"Fenerbahce are aware of English clubs trying to understand if there is some space, some way to enter into the Kante deal. Fenerbahce remain convinced that the player wants to join them, that the player wants to get this opportunity to move to Turkey and to go to Fenerbahce.
"They are insisting, they are pushing, the agreement with the player is at the final stages. Club-to-club, they are waiting to unlock the deal with Al-Ittihad. But the deal is on for Kante to Fenerbahce, and this could be a massive move for the French midfielder in the World Cup season.
"We know for Didier Deschamps he remains part of the squad. We will see if he will go to the World Cup, but he has his chances for sure. Kante, every time he's playing with the French national team, he's doing great."
Ter Stegen on his way to Girona
Next up, Romano confirmed that Marc-Andre Ter Stegen's loan move from Barcelona to Girona is virtually done.
"Barcelona and Girona are completing the deal for Marc-Andre Ter Stegen. The agreement is almost done. It's a loan deal until the end of the season. There is no buy option clause included, so it's a straight loan for Ter Stegen to join Girona for the next six months.
"He will go there to play, to have regular football, to return after being injured for some time. Barcelona, in the summer signed, Joan Garcia and obviously, the space for Ter Stegen has been limited. He wants to play. There is a World Cup coming.
"Ter Stegen remains an important goalkeeper for Germany coach Julian Nagelsmann, and so Ter Stegen is ready to go to Girona. The deal should be completed. It's just a matter of a short time."
Lang set for Galatasaray
Romano then revealed that Napoli attacker Noa Long is set to join Galatasaray.
"Galatasaray are closing in on a deal to sign Noa Lang from Napoli. Loan deal with buy option close, a total package that could get close to €30 million. The player already said yes to Galatasaray.
"The contract is important because Galatasaray would agree on a loan deal with a buy option clause, not mandatory from Napoli, but if Galatasaray sign the player on a permanent transfer from Napoli in the summer, so if they activate the buy option clause, in that case Galatasaray would pay him a better salary and higher salary compared to the salary he has right now at Napoli.
"So the financial proposal for the player is very good. I think this week, after the game between Copenhagen and Napoli in the Champions League, Lang can get the green light and travel to become a new Galatasaray player."
Timber wants Marseille
Regarding the situation of Quinten Timber, Romano stated that the Feyenoord star is keen to join Marseille.
"Quinten Timber, the brother of Arsenal defender JurrienTimber, is out of contract at Feyenoord, so a big opportunity in the summer. Olympique Marseille are working on a deal to sign Timber now, immediately from Feyenoord, and the agreement is very close.
"It's just a matter of time, the player wants to go to Marseille despite having several opportunities, several chances. already in this market. Some calls arrived from the Premier League, West Ham and not only. Also calls from Italy.
"Obviously, when this kind of quality player is available on a free in the summer, maybe in January, you have the opportunity to get a very good deal for a player like Timber. Many calls, but Marseille are about to win this race. They are finalising the terms with Feyenoord, and then Timber is expected to travel for medical tests and contract signing at Marseille.
Atletico Madrid interested in Ramos
Romano also revealed that Atletico Madrid are interested in a summer move for PSG striker Goncalo Ramos.
"Atletico Madrid are closely following the situation of Goncalo Ramos at Paris Saint-Germain for the summer. Ramos is not expected to leave PSG in the January transfer window. He's an important player for Luis Enrique, so he's going to stay at the club.
"But for the summer, he could leave PSG, and Atletico Madrid are following the situation. Atletico Madrid are monitoring Ramos. The deal is absolutely a possibility that Atletico Madrid at the moment are considering internally."
Klopp not closing door on Real Madrid job
Lastly, Romano once again spoke about the links between Jurgen Klopp and Real Madrid.
"Today, Jurgen Klopp was called to, again, comment on the Real Madrid stories. And he said, it's just media hype, there is nothing concrete at this stage. Klopp was not closing doors to return to coaching.
"I think it's absolutely normal for Klopp to say at the moment that there is nothing, because there is nothing. At the moment, Real Madrid have not approached Klopp. There are no negotiations, no calls, no contact, nothing at the moment. Zero.
"At the moment, the reality on Klopp and Real Madrid is Real Madrid have some people on the board, in the management, who really appreciate Klopp. But Real Madrid's style is not to go to Klopp and try to change his mind about coaching.
"If Klopp wants to go back to coaching, Real Madrid can be an option, depending on what happens with [Alvaro] Arbeloa at the end of the season. Because now there is Arbeloa, and Arbeloa is having his opportunity to be the Real Madrid manager.
"But eventually, if Real Madrid decide to go for a new manager, Klopp could be an option in the summer."
