Barcelona have set an asking price for Dutch forward Memphis Depay as they prepare to sell him just one year after he arrived.

Depay, 28, joined Barcelona on a free transfer last summer after his Lyon contract expired, but has found himself on the fringes since Xavi took over the reigns from Ronald Koeman.

Koeman had hand-picked Depay last year after working with him at international level, and the forward suffered more than most after Xavi's arrival.

His tally of 12 goals and two assists in 28 La Liga games is respectable at worst, but he isn't in Xavi's plans for next season, meaning the Blaugrana are ready to sell.

With finances still a concern at Camp Nou, selling unwanted assets is high on the club's list of priorities this summer, as seen by their desire to offload Sergino Dest and Samuel Umtiti.

Depay is another player on their 'for sale' list, especially considering their pursuit of Leeds United wideman Raphinha. The Brazilian international was wanted by both Arsenal and Chelsea, with the Blues even agreeing a deal with Leeds, but the player is reportedly set on joining Barcelona.

With Raphinha likely to come through the door, Barcelona are willing to let one of their forwards leave this summer, and it appears Depay is the one who's been selected.

Ousmane Dembele's future also needs to be resolved, with the Frenchman now officially a free agent but likely to either renew his deal at Barcelona or join Chelsea. If Dembele re-signs, which is looking likely, then Depay's exit is even more set-in-stone, if a buyer can be found.

Barcelona's asking price for Depay

According to AS, Barcelona have set an asking price of €25 million on Depay's head, but this is contrasted by Sport, who have reported that Barca would be willing to accept an offer as low as €20m.

Sport also report that Tottenham are interested in the Dutchman, although Depay isn't interested in joining Antonio Conte's side.

His contract is set to end next summer after only signing a one year deal, and that would represent an impressive profit for a club operating on a budget with plenty of debt to repay.
