Borussia Dortmund are ready to offload teenager Jamie Bynoe-Gittens as part of a ploy designed to see Manchester United winger Jadon Sancho return to the Bundesliga side.

Sancho has been sidelined by Man Utd boss Erik ten Hag since August, when the former Ajax boss criticised the winger’s commitment in training.

After this was met by an angry response on the part of the England winger, the situation has spiralled out of control, with only the departure of one or the other set to see an end to the impasse that continues to cast a shadow over Old Trafford.

Sancho is not training with the first team but finding a suitable transfer destination for him promises to be tricky.

Dortmund have been touted as one club that might be interested in the winger, yet his wages of €230,000 (£200,000) per week are seen as a major stumbling block.

The Bundesliga club are considering a clear out of their attack to make space for the England winger, with Bynoe-Gittens one of the players who could be pushed out on loan, according to 90Min. He has started only two games for Dortmund this season but did recently sign a new long-term deal.

A loan within the Bundesliga looks the most probable outcome, according to the source.

Meanwhile, Youssoufa Moukoko is another player who Dortmund have made available for loan.

Dortmund's Sancho doubts

FootballTransfers’ understanding of the Sancho situation is that Dortmund have more concerns over the player than simply matching his wages.

BVB were concerned with several aspects of his discipline even when he was playing with the club in his previous stint, and even if Sancho is eager to return to Germany, this behaviour is unlikely to have been forgotten.

A switch to the Saudi Pro League continues to look the likeliest option for the Man Utd exile.
