Why Real Madrid are refusing to meet Haaland's demands

Real Madrid aren’t willing to match Erling Haaland’s agents demands, and that’s putting them off from making a potential move for the Borussia Dortmund forward.
It is believed that Borussia Dortmund would ask €75 million for the move, but the entire operation could cost upwards of €105m, as a fee goes to his agent and his father.
Additionally, Real Madrid don’t want to break their wage structure by paying the Norwegian double of what their senior players earn and they want to sign him on their terms.

In terms of the player's wage demands, the proposed package for the Norwegian from Manchester City was that Haaland would earn €30m-per-season.
Getting him to Real Madrid would cost something similar.
Considering their future in the No.9 position is seemingly secure with vice-captain Karim Benzema’s incredible form making him hard to drop from the first-team, this would be a pricey – and rather needless – operation.
Seeing as Real Madrid are in pole position to sign Kylian Mbappe, who will take up a large chunk of their budget if the move is made official this summer, the signing of Haaland may seem like an unreasonable prospect when there are other areas of the squad that need improving.
Players such as Monaco’s Aurelien Tchouameni and Sporting’s on-loan right-back Pedro Porro have been linked to the club to improve midfield and right-back positions, and finances may be targeted towards getting them rather than breaking their financial structure to get another forward.

The heavy financial package required to acquire the forward has made many clubs reconsider their stance, with sides like Barcelona and Bayern Munich deciding against the signing.
That would apparently leave only Manchester City in the race to sign Haaland, and there is a belief that Paris Saint-Germain may also be interested should Mbappe leave in the summer.
