Chelsea have been told by William Gallas to accept Arsenal’s offer for Mykhailo Mudryk, should an official bid arrive for the Ukrainian flop.

There have been reports in recent days that the Gunners could renew their interest in the winger, having missed out on signing Mudryk to Chelsea during the January 2023 transfer window.

The Blues are at risk of falling foul of the financial fair play regulations if they don’t make savings this summer, having spent over €1 billion on transfers under Todd Boehly in the last 18 months.

What did Gallas say?

“If Arsenal still want Mykhailo Mudryk and come in with a big fee, Chelsea will have no option but to sell him because of their financial issues,” Gallas told Lord Ping.

“How Chelsea have got themselves in this situation is confusing. Chelsea will need to think properly on how to sort out their problems, otherwise the fans will continue to be frustrated.

Mudryk joined Chelsea for €100 million in January 2023 from Shakhtar Donetsk after the Blues hijacked Arsenal's deal for the winger.

However, Mudryk has flopped badly at Stamford Bridge.

He has managed just four goals and three assists in 42 appearances amidst a string of poor performances.

Mudryk has fallen down the pecking order at Chelsea due to his bad showings and even considered leaving the club during the January transfer market.

Despite Mudryk’s performances, Arsenal are said to still be interested in the player.

The Gunners want to sign at least one winger this summer in order to ease the pressure on Gabriel Martinelli and Bukayo Saka.

It is understood that Mudryk would consider a move to the Emirates.
