Liverpool could hijack Real Madrid’s summer deal for Kylian Mbappe, according to a dramatic report in the Independent.
The Independent claims that future of Mbappe – whose contract at PSG expires next month - is still unclear and he has not yet decided whether to join Real Madrid.

Part of the issue in not signing for Madrid, according to the report, is that the club “insist on 50 percent of a player's media rights in every contract they negotiate at the Bernabeu.”
Mbappe’s entourage are unwilling to meet that demand.

As a result, this could push Mbappe into either signing a new short-term deal at PSG or open the door for Liverpool.
Mbappe has publicly praised both Liverpool and manager Jurgen Klopp in the past – and is known to be a big fan of the club and their style of football.
WHO ARE THE MOST VALUABLE PLAYERS IN THE WORLD?
The Reds are on the lookout for a new attacker this summer as it is likely that one of Sadio Mane or Mohamed Salah – probably the former – will leave in the coming weeks.
Both Mane and Salah see their contracts expire next year and little progress has been made with either on new deals.
As both turn 30 before next season, Liverpool are highly unlikely to give new, lucrative contracts to both forwards. At most, one will be given a new contract and the other will be sold.
Mane seems most likely of the two, with Bayern Munich and Spanish clubs interested.
As for Mbappe, in Spain there are still no doubts that the 23-year-old will move to Madrid on a Bosman Transfer. They believe a deal has been done for months and an official announcement will arrive once the season is over.
The World Cup winner has repeatedly rejected offers of an extension at the Parc des Princes, although he has persistently insisted that he has not yet decided whether to stay or leave.
Mbappe attempted to push through a €150 million-plus move last summer to Madrid, the club he supported as a kid.
The transfer didn’t go through, with both Mbappe and Madrid happy to wait another year.
