Aubameyang and Lacazette argue over Ozil’s No.10 shirt!

Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang and Alexandre Lacazette could be set to battle it out for the right to inherit Mesut Ozil’s number 10 shirt.

That is according to Frenchman Lacazette, who joked on Instagram that the pair both want the fabled jersey.

Ozil has occupied the Arsenal no.10 shirt ever since arriving at the club from Real Madrid in 2013.

However, the World Cup-winner confirmed on Sunday that he is set to join Turkish giants Fenerbahce, and is flying to Istanbul to complete the formalities of the deal.

Lacazette currently has the Arsenal no.9 shirt, while Aubameyang has the no.14.

Another attacker who could be in the frame for Ozil’s no.10 is young attacking midfield starlet Emile Smith Rowe, who has the number 32.

Traditionally, the no.10 shirt has always been the most mythical number in football – with many of the world’s greatest ever players wearing the shirt; Pele, Diego Maradona, Michel Platini and Lionel Messi.

However, in recent years, the number has been devalued somewhat with Arsenal even once infamously handing the shirt to defender William Gallas.
