Revealed: How Lewandowski has become Barcelona's off-field leader

Robert Lewandowski has been a star for Barcelona so far, and he added to his great start at the club with the winner over Valencia in the two sides’ La Liga clash on Saturday evening.
So far this season, he has scored 18 goals in 17 appearances for the club and has made a massive impact on the pitch for them, but his influence is felt off it as well.
He is widely praised by those within the club for the impact he has off the pitch and around the club, inspiring youngsters around him.

Having won everything there is to win in football wherever he has been, he has plenty of experience to pass on and that is being absorbed by his team-mates at Barcelona.

According to Mundo Deportivo, in addition to football advice, Lewandowski helps youngsters like Gavi, Pedri, Alejandro Balde on matters off the pitch.
He’s advised them on the importance of maintaining a good diet – something that’s allowed him to compete at the highest level until the age of 34.

Beyond that, he asks them to learn English, in order to be able to communicate at official events and represent themselves and their clubs in a better way while making public appearances.
Additionally, for the club, he is happy to star in promotional events and is usually the first to offer and usually mixes well with all the staff and players – something admired by those within the club.

Lewandowski sees helping Barcelona return to the top of European football as a major challenge and one he was happy to take on when he left Bayern Munich.
Despite being 34 and achieving plenty in his career, the Pole has clear goals and wants to reach them with Barcelona, and that is the leadership Barcelona required at this stage.
