Real Madrid midfielder Eduardo Camavinga could be on the move this summer, but long-linked suitors Liverpool would not be a good option for him.

The France international is no longer enjoying universal backing in Spain's capital. A €31 million signing in 2021, the 23-year-old has not quite developed into the dominant midfielder many expected him to become.

The erstwhile wonderkid hasn't been helped by the fact that he had to deputise as a makeshift left-back in previous years. The point stands, though, that Camavinga has not been able to prove that he is the heir to Toni Kroos or Luka Modric.

Consequently, speculation over his future is ramping up. Reliable transfer journalist Matteo Moretto recently revealed that the midfielder could be sold this summer if an offer of more than €50 million arrives.

The insider also confirmed that numerous Premier League clubs admire Camavinga, among them surely Liverpool. The Reds have been linked with a spectacular swap deal with Real Madrid, who are interested in Alexis Mac Allister.

Camavinga should snub Liverpool

However, data from analytics firm SciSports suggests that Camavinga should think twice about making the move to Anfield. While the Reds are long-standing admirers, they are not a particularly good option for him.

SciSports analyses various factors such as development prospects, potential playing time and stylistic fit to calculate a Club Fit rating. In the case of Camavinga, Liverpool only have a score of 63.

Camavinga is not believed to really suit the playing style and formation of Arne Slot, with SciSports only giving the Frenchman three out of a possible five stars in terms of stylistic fit and just one star for formation.

Other Premier League clubs would be better options, namely Arsenal and Man Utd. The Gunners clock in with a score of 73, while Man Utd boast a rating of 71.

While there would be concerns over game time in North London, SciSports believes that Camavinga would massively elevate his game at Arsenal. The Premier League leaders are given five stars for potential development.

Man Utd, meanwhile, have a strong rating because of his prospects of regular minutes at Old Trafford. The data suggests that Camavinga would walk straight into the Red Devils' midfield.

It is not thought that Camavinga is a good stylistic fit for Michael Carrick, but this would become a moot point if INEOS were to decide to replace the interim boss with a different permanent solution.
