These clubs are more able to offer Nelson regular first-team football than Arsenal, meaning his exit could be likely.

The 23-year-old has not started a single Premier League game in the 2022-23 season, coming off the bench nine times.

But he has still managed to score three goals, including a 97th minute winner against Bournemouth in March.

Bukayo Saka's new contract

Arsenal are set to secure the future of Bukayo Saka for the foreseeable future, with the England international expected to sign a new contract with the Emirates side imminently.

Saka has enjoyed another stellar season with the Gunners, notching up career-best totals in both Premier League goals and assists as Mikel Arteta’s side have confounded critics by keeping the title race going to the final weeks of the season.

Although he has been one of Arsenal’s most important players over the course of more than two years now, Saka’s present contract does not pay him close to his current squad status.

That is all set to change, though, with the 21-year-old, who has an Estimated Transfer Value (ETV) of €86.1 million, close to penning a new deal.

Saka will earn £300,000 per week with this new Arsenal contract, according to reports, meaning that he will earn £15.6 million annually.

This represents a huge jump from his current deal, which sees him pocket £3.6m each year, or £70,000 a week.

Over the course of his new five-year contract, Saka will earn £78m.
