Man Utd back in for Branthwaite

Man Utd have made fresh contact with the camp of Everton defender Jarrad Branthwaite, TEAMtalk claims.

The centre-back is a long-standing target for the Red Devils and was the subject of several bids in the summer of 2024. Nothing came of it at the time, and Branthwaite has since struggled with injuries.

Despite this, Man Utd remain admirers of the 24-year-old and view him as a possible long-term replacement for Harry Maguire and Lisandro Martinez. However, Everton do not want to lose Branthwaite and value him at more than €90 million.

Gabriel's most likely next move?

Barcelona and Real Madrid are the most likely destinations for wantaway Man Utd wonderkid JJ Gabriel, Ben Jacobs understands.

The 15-year-old has formally requested to leave the Red Devils. Gabriel turns 16 next month and will then be able to leave the UK because he holds an Irish passport. A move to Spain could be on the cards.

Marca writes that Real Madrid are being very careful about their interest in Gabriel due to his age and his messy situation at Man Utd, who are still hopeful that they can convince him to stay.

Meanwhile, The Sun asserts that Barcelona are making a "concerted effort" to sign him and that he spent part of his summer in Catalunya, while Man Utd are said to "fear" that he could join rivals Man City.

Arsenal still in Rodrygo contact

Arsenal are still in contact with Real Madrid winger Rodrygo, as per TEAMtalk.

The Brazil international was strongly linked with a move to North London in 2025 but ultimately opted to stay at Real Madrid, where he subsequently struggled for regular starting opportunities.

Despite nursing an ACL injury, Arsenal remain in contact with his camp following their failure to sign a marquee left-winger this summer. David Ornstein has confirmed that the Gunners could make a high-profile signing in that department despite cutting it close with UEFA's spending rules.

Endrick situation remains calm

Real Madrid continue to trust striker Endrick amid rumours that he wants to leave, Fabrizio Romano reports.

The Brazilian wonderkid has struggled to regularly feature for Real Madrid since joining the club, with unfortunate injuries halting his momentum at crucial moments. Endrick made only his first appearance of the season against Elche on Tuesday.

With Carlos Espi impressing as a substitute, Endrick appears to be third-choice, giving rise to suggestions that he could look for another January exit. However, Romano insists that it isn't at that stage yet, although he would have no shortage of suitors were he to start pushing for a move.

Barcelona's new gem?

Barcelona are scouting Djurgarden midfielder Bo Hegland, Expressen has revealed.

The 22-year-old equalled the Allsvenskan assist record after setting up his 15th goal of the season on Monday, and representatives from Barcelona were in attendance to witness this impressive feat.

Barcelona are no strangers to Swedish football, having signed Roony Bardghji last year and attempted to bring in Lucas Bergvall after his Djurgarden breakthrough. In addition to the Catalans, Hegland has fielded interest from Anderlecht and Newcastle.
