Chelsea want €140m Fermin Lopez deal

Chelsea want to sign Barcelona midfielder Fermin Lopez in January and they are prepared to pay a whopping €140 million to land the 23-year-old.

That is according to a shock report from Spanish outlet El Nacional, who claim that Xabi Alonso has identified Fermin as a top target following the Blues’ failure to replace Enzo Fernandez over the summer.

Barcelona are reluctant to sell the Spain international, but they could be tempted into a deal for the right price and Alonso is gearing up to contact Fermin in a bid to convince his compatriot to accept a Stamford Bridge switch.

Endrick faces uncertain Real Madrid future

Arsenal have been handed a dream opportunity to sign Real Madrid striker Endrick following talks over a deal in late August.

Endrick is now third in the pecking order at the Bernabeu, behind Carlos Espi and Kylian Mbappe, and although Jose Mourinho blocked an exit during the summer window, the Brazilian could be set to leave the club in 2027.

The Athletic have confirmed that a review will take place before the January transfer window as Real Madrid consider another loan move, although Endrick himself could feasibly push for a permanent move away from the Bernabeu following his struggles for game time since his arrival at the club.

Arsenal held exploratory talks with Real Madrid over a potential move in late August, as per talkSPORT, and they could feasibly rekindle their pursuit of his signature next year if he continues to struggle for game time at Real Madrid.

Bayern Munich eye Florian Wirtz move

Bayern Munich are keeping a close eye on Florian Wirtz’s situation at Liverpool, according to a report from TEAMtalk.

The Germany international has struggled since his move to Anfield last summer and Bayern are keen to lure him back to the Bundesliga if Liverpool become amenable to a sale.

The Reds currently retain faith in Wirtz, but he is yet to live up to his lofty price tag and Bayern are waiting in the wings in the event that his form doesn’t improve.

Barcelona plot Raphinha contract talks

Barcelona are planning on offering Raphinha a lucrative new contract following rumoured transfer interest from Chelsea.

Chelsea were close to signing Raphinha before his move from Leeds United to Barca and they remain interested in the 29-year-old, despite bolstering their first-team squad with the additions of Morgan Rogers, Geovany Quenda, Emmanuel Emegha and Danny Welbeck over the summer.

That is according to Spanish outlet El Nacional, who speculatively claim that both Chelsea and Arsenal are prepared to double Raphinha’s salary in order to lure him back to the Premier League in 2027.

However, Barcelona have no interest in selling the Brazil winger and they are instead ready to offer him a contract extension, as per AS.

This has been confirmed by Blaugrana sporting director Deco, who admitted: “He's happy here. Flick has brought out the best in him. I see him doing very well. A contract renewal? We're keeping a close eye on our players so nothing catches us off guard. We also value merit. We'll talk to him.”

Alessandro Bastoni to Chelsea?

Chelsea manager Xabi Alonso has floated the idea of pursuing Inter Milan centre-back Alessandro Bastoni next year amid their defensive woes so far this season, as per El Nacional.

The Blues have used Alonso’s preferred 3-4-2-1 formation this term, but they have struggled at the back and the idea of signing Bastoni has been suggested, with Barcelona no longer interested in finalising a deal.

It’s reported that Bastoni may be open to the prospect of leaving Inter, although it would likely take a hefty fee to tempt the Italian giants into a sale.
