The 2026 summer transfer window is officially into its final month and a host of major deals are expected to be formally completed before the end of Deadline Day on 1 September.
The likes of Elliot Anderson, Morgan Rogers and Sandro Tonali have all secured transfers for over €100 million so far this summer, and several other high-profile players could be on the move over the next few weeks.
Below, FootballTransfers runs through 10 huge deals that could be finalised before the end of the window.
Vinicius Jr to Arsenal
Vinicius Junior has emerged as a shock transfer target for Arsenal and we have been informed that Mikel Arteta’s side are ready to go all-out to sign him if he opts to leave Real Madrid.
At present, the Brazilian could still sign a new contract at the Bernabeu, but if Los Blancos fail to lodge an offer that he deems acceptable, a bombshell move to Arsenal could accelerate quickly ahead of Deadline Day.
Julian Alvarez to Barcelona
Julian Alvarez’s future remains uncertain as we enter the final month of the 2026 summer transfer window, with the Argentina striker eager to join Barcelona but Atletico Madrid reluctant to sanction a sale.
It will take a huge offer to tempt Atleti into accepting a transfer before the window closes, however Alvarez is Barca’s top striker target and a deal could certainly happen if he pushes to leave the Metropolitano.
Jordan Henderson to Chelsea
After several years of exclusively signing talented youngsters, Chelsea have altered their transfer model since the appointment of Xabi Alonso and they are on the verge of adding Jordan Henderson to their squad.
Danny Welbeck has already arrived to provide some much-needed leadership at Stamford Bridge and Henderson is set to follow suit after his contract at Brentford was mutually terminated 12 months early.
Yan Diomande to Real Madrid
While it has been claimed that a full agreement has been struck for Yan Diomande to join Real Madrid, a deal has not yet been announced and the final details still need to be finalised with RB Leipzig.
However, the Ivory Coast winger is still expected to join Jose Mourinho’s side before the end of the window following a sublime debut season at Leipzig, in which he registered 23 goal contributions in 36 games.
Bradley Barcola to Liverpool
Liverpool have already bolstered their attack with the signing of Osasuna winger Victor Munoz, but they have now set their sights on Paris Saint-Germain forward Bradley Barcola.
It’s reported that a fee of €170m will be required to land the Frenchman, but Liverpool are in talks over a blockbuster transfer as they look to bring Barcola to Anfield ahead of Andoni Iraola’s debut campaign in charge.
Bruno Guimaraes to Arsenal
Eddie Howe’s exit at Newcastle United has raised fresh concerns over Bruno Guimaraes’ long-term future at the club, and Arsenal are now pushing hard to bring the Brazil midfielder to north London this summer.
In fact, the Gunners have already scheduled a medical and they are keen to finalise a deal worth €93.5m for the 28-year-old as they aim to improve the midfield options at Arteta’s disposal.
Lewis Hall to Man Utd
In addition to Guimaraes, Newcastle may also be forced to sell Lewis Hall, who has attracted significant interest from Manchester United amid their pursuit of a new left-back to challenge Luke Shaw next season.
The England defender was one of the Premier League’s standout full-backs last season and Man Utd are keen to test Newcastle’s resolve before Deadline Day, with Hall reportedly open to the move.
Mohamed Salah to Besiktas / Trabzonspor
Mohamed Salah is officially a free agent after leaving Liverpool upon the expiration of his contract in July and despite significant interest from clubs in the MLS and the Saudi Pro League, it’s understood that his most likely next destination is Turkey.
Besiktas were believed to be the frontrunners for the Egypt forward, although Trabzonspor have been tipped to hijack the transfer, with Salah expected to complete a Bosman move to one of the clubs shortly.
Alex Scott to Chelsea
In addition to the aforementioned Henderson, Chelsea are also keen to sign his compatriot Alex Scott following the sale of Andrey Santos to Man Utd earlier this summer.
Bournemouth are desperate to retain the 22-year-old for at least another season, but he has rejected multiple contract extension offers and it’s understood that he is eager to join Chelsea if the Blues are able to finalise a transfer fee agreement.
Maghnes Akliouche to PSG
PSG have already signed Aston Villa left-back Lucas Digne and they are now in talks over deals for Maghnes Akliouche, Mika Godts, Ferran Torres and Zion Suzuki as they look to win their third consecutive Champions League title.
It’s understood that a deal for AS Monaco attacker Akliouche will cost €50m and he will be formally unveiled as their latest signing shortly. In addition, official offers have been sent for Godts and Suzuki, while the club remain in talks with Barcelona over a move for Torres.
