Man Utd Transfer News Today: Young star asks to leave, €60m ace issues fresh stance
FootballTransfers runs through the latest Manchester United transfer news on Sunday 19 July, including fresh updates on Rafael Leao, Crysencio Summerville, Radek Vitek and Ben Nelson.
Leao waiting for Premier League offers amid Man Utd links
Man Utd-linked Rafael Leao is prioritising a summer move to the Premier League as he looks to leave AC Milan, according to Gazzetta dello Sport.
The 27-year-old announced his intention to leave Milan in May, citing the need for a fresh challenge after seven years at the San Siro.
While Leao has only been loosely linked with United, Gazzetta understands the Portugal international remains keen on moving to England.
The same publication claims Milan, who are now managed by ex-United boss Ruben Amorim, value Leao at around €60million (£51m).
Roma launch bid for Red Devils target Summerville
Man Utd have learned Roma have tabled a €46m (£39.1m) bid to sign Crysencio Summerville from West Ham United, according to The Athletic.
The same publication reported in June that Man Utd have developed an interest in signing Netherlands international Summerville.
However, The Athletic now understands Serie A side Roma have made the first move for the 24-year-old, who scored seven times for relegated West Ham last season.
An alternative report from Fabrizio Romano claims Roma's bid was rejected by West Ham, with Gian Piero Gasperini's side set to return with a new offer.
Vitek wants to leave Carrick’s side this summer
Radek Vitek has announced his intention to leave United this summer, with the goalkeeper looking to secure regular first-team football elsewhere.
The 22-year-old academy graduate shone at Bristol City last season, winning three player of the year awards following a successful loan spell.
And now Vitek is keen to remain a No. 1 next season - with the shot-stopper open to either another loan or a permanent move away from Old Trafford.
In quotes carried by BBC Sport, he said: “I'm ready to go somewhere again and hopefully be number one. There has been a few interests on the table. We're hoping to choose the best one and hopefully it will happen soon.”

United-linked Nelson tells Leicester he wants out
United target Ben Nelson has told Leicester City he wants to secure a move away this summer, according to the Daily Mail.
The highly-rated 22-year-old made 27 appearances for the Foxes last season as they suffered relegation to League One.
However, the Mail understands Leicester’s €11.7m (£10m) asking price remains prohibitive for suitors at the moment.
The same publication claims Man Utd and Championship outfit West Ham are keen on Nelson, who has just one year left on his contract.
