Cole Palmer launches first business venture - and it's rather strange
Chelsea superstar Cole Palmer has launched his first business venture after successfully trademarking his goal celebration.
The England forward, who was excluded from Thomas Tuchel’s squad for the 2026 World Cup, trademarked his ‘Cold’ goal celebration last year and it was expected that he would release a number of products following the move.
In June, it was announced that he had teamed up with instant commerce platform Gopuff to create the world’s first and only electrolyte ice, and the product is now available to purchase in the United Kingdom and the United States.
Chelsea legend John Terry recently posted a picture of the product on his Instagram account, and Palmer was spotted carrying his ice when arriving at Chelsea’s Cobham training facility on Thursday for their first day of pre-season.
It’s reported that Palmer has agreed a “multi-year strategic partnership” with Gopuff and COLE’D is the first product to have been released, with others expected to follow.
What is COLE’D?
On the official Gopuff website, the only place to purchase Palmer’s new ice, a statement reads: “Cole'd is a premium ice collection created in partnership with football star Cole Palmer and available exclusively on Gopuff. Inspired by Palmer's iconic "Cold Palmer" celebration, Cole'd transforms an everyday essential into a premium experience.
“Made with filtered, purified water, Cole'd is designed for athletes, watch parties, entertaining and everyday refreshment.”
There are three different types of ice available to purchase and they vary in price.
The cheapest is a 2kg bag of ‘COLE’D Traditional Ice Cubs’ at £2.00. It is described as, “Premium purified water ice. Nothing added, nothing compromised. Just clean ice, engineered to a higher standard.”
The middle option is a 2kg bag of ‘COLE’D Pebble Ice with Electrolytes’ at £2.50. The description reads, “Premium electrolyte ice crafted from purified water. Clean structure, smooth edges, engineered to perform.”

What has Cole Palmer said about COLE’D
In a press release confirming his collaboration with Gopuff, Palmer said: “Gopuff was already part of the routine, so when they came to me with the idea, it just made sense. What started as a bit of fun turned into something proper.
“I've been involved in everything – the product, the packaging, the content – and that's what interested me. The fans started the whole 'Cold Palmer' thing in the first place, so it's nice to turn that into something everyone can be part of.”
Meanwhile, Yakir Gola, co-CEO and co-founder of Gopuff, said: “Gopuff has become the platform where the world's best athletes and creators come to do things differently, turning bold ideas into products our customers love.
“With Cole'd, we're reimagining one of the most essential everyday items through innovation, introducing the world's first electrolyte ice. By partnering with one of the best footballers in the world, Cole Palmer, we're continuing to bring first-of-their-kind products directly to our customers.”
