Man Utd halt Fernandes talks

Man Utd have stopped negotiations over a new contract with Bruno Fernandes, as per The Mirror.

The Red Devils planned to reward their club captain with an improved deal following his outstanding season, which saw him break the Premier League assist record and scoop the division's Player of the Season award.

However, it is now reported that discussions have been paused until the end of the year. Fernandes is expected to yet again field Saudi interest this summer, but Man Utd believe that he will stay despite the lack of progress in contract talks.

Brown wants Bayern

Eintracht Frankfurt left-back Nathaniel Brown has reached "a full verbal agreement" to join Bayern Munich, Sky Germany reports.

The Germany international has been linked with Arsenal and Man Utd, but he is keen on a move to the Bundesliga champions. Brown has agreed terms with Bayern on a deal until 2031.

However, it is emphasised that the transfer is not yet under wraps. Bayern still need to reach an agreement with Frankfurt, who are demanding around €60 million. Bayern are likely not willing to pay that much for a full-back.

Liverpool step up Diomande chase

Liverpool have formally made contact with RB Leipzig for talks over Yan Diomande, according to David Ornstein.

The Reds are believed to be the club currently best-placed to reach an agreement with the 19-year-old over a move, but finding common ground with Leipzig may prove more difficult. They don't want to sell and could demand up to €130m for Diomande.

Arsenal, Man City, Man Utd and PSG have also been linked with the Ivorian. PSG, in particular, are firmly in the mix to sign the winger, but they have not made as much progress as Liverpool.

Man City could go for Tonali

Man City are prepared to pivot to Newcastle midfielder Sandro Tonali if they fail to agree a deal with Nottingham Forest for Elliot Anderson, Fabrizio Romano states.

The Etihad club have seen an opening bid for Anderson rejected, but their pursuit of the England star remains active. Forest are believed to want more than the €116.6m Arsenal paid for Declan Rice in 2023.

City are prepared to make a fresh offer, but should they deem Forest's demands unreasonable, they could instead go "all in" on Tonali. However, Arsenal also have a concrete interest in the Italy international, according to Romano.

Monga set for Arsenal

Leicester City wonderkid Jeremy Monga has chosen Arsenal as his next club, Ben Jacobs has confirmed.

The 16-year-old has chosen the Gunners over as many as seven other suitors after rejecting the chance to sign a professional contract at Leicester following their demotion to League One.

Discussions to finalise a move to Arsenal are in full swing. However, due to his age, signing him will not be entirely straightforward. Leicester will be entitled to a compensation fee, which could be set by a tribunal and exceed €10m.
