The Gunners secured their first Premier League title since 2004 last year and after losing the Champions League final to PSG in late May, they are keen to oversee a fairly sizable squad overhaul in a bid to finally lift the biggest trophy in club football.

The likes of Gabriel Jesus, Gabriel Martinelli, Christian Norgaard and Ben White have all been heavily linked with exits before the 2026-27 campaign kicks off, while the north London giants are expected to sanction the signings of several new first-team stars.

Full-back has been identified as an area in need of strengthening, amid interest in Newcastle United star Valentino Livramento, and Arsenal also want to sign a new central midfielder and a new left winger.

Leandro Trossard and the aforementioned Martinelli shared minutes as Arteta’s favoured left winger last term, but that position has been earmarked as a weakness in their squad and a new option is expected to arrive before the end of Transfer Deadline Day on 1 September.

Confirmed: Arsenal want to sign Bradley Barcola

As revealed by FootballTransfers, Aston Villa superstar Morgan Rogers is viewed as a top target by the Arsenal hierarchy, following a stellar two-and-a-half year stint with Unai Emery’s side, while they have also been linked with a move for Nottingham Forest’s Morgan Gibbs-White.

Barcola has been touted as a potential signing too and Arsenal are now ready to ramp up their pursuit of his signature, as confirmed by The Independent.

It’s reported that Arteta’s side are preparing an opening bid for the 23-year-old, with the club currently looking into the details of a possible deal amid significant transfer competition from Liverpool.

Barcola is regarded as a player who would immediately improve Arsenal’s starting XI and it has been widely suggested that PSG would be amenable to a sale if a suitable offer arrives for the France star, who scored for his nation during their 3-1 win over Senegal in their World Cup opener on Tuesday.

The PSG winger has an Estimated Transfer Value (ETV) of just over €70 million and The Independent report that he could be signed in addition to Rogers this summer as Arsenal look to seriously back Arteta in the transfer market amid their pursuit of Champions League glory.

If Barcola were to arrive at the Emirates Stadium, it would likely signal the end of either Trossard or Martinelli’s Arsenal career, with the Gunners expected to head into the new season with only two out-and-out left wingers.
