Official: Harry Maguire signs new Man Utd contract
Harry Maguire has officially signed a new one-year contract at Manchester United to extend his spell at the club until at least 2027.
The England international, who was recalled by Thomas Tuchel for the March international break, was due to become a free agent this summer, but he has now penned fresh terms at Old Trafford instead.
Maguire has signed a one-year contract extension at the club, although the agreement includes an option for Man Utd to extend his deal by a further 12 months if they wish.
The 33-year-old has made 20 appearances so far this season, scoring twice, and he is among the stars to have benefitted greatly from the interim appointment of Michael Carrick in January.
The former Leicester City defender, who became the most expensive defender in football history upon joining Man Utd in 2019, has started each of the Red Devils’ last 10 Premier League matches, although he will miss their clash against Leeds United on Monday after receiving a red card versus Bournemouth in their previous fixture.

“You can feel the ambition and potential of this exciting squad. The determination throughout the whole club to fight for major trophies is clear for everyone to see and I am confident that our best moments together remain ahead of us.”
Jason Wilcox, Man Utd’s sporting director, added: “Harry represents the mentality and resilience required to perform for Manchester United. He is the ultimate professional who brings invaluable experience and leadership to our young, ambitious squad.
