10 players who could join Liverpool this summer
Liverpool have endured a wretched season and will be forced to dip into the market again this summer.
The Reds, fresh off winning the Premier League, made a record-shattering investment in their squad last year, signing Florian Wirtz and Alexander Isak for British record fees, while also bringing in Hugo Ekitike and others.
Despite this, Arne Slot's second season in charge of the Anfield club has been nothing short of disastrous. The team has looked a shell of the side that romped to the title in 2024/25 and will consequently need to be altered further.
Liverpool are expected to have another major summer transfer window, with several signings likely to join Jeremy Jacquet, whose arrival from Stade Rennais for €63.6 million has already been confirmed.
Below, FootballTransfers runs through 10 players who could join Liverpool this summer...
Michael Olise (Bayern Munich)
Club legend Mohamed Salah will leave the Reds this summer, which means that the signing of an elite right-winger is among the Reds' top priorities. Bayern Munich winger Michael Olise is understood to be the club's dream target.
However, whether the France international is attainable is doubtful. Bayern do not want to sell the attacker and have repeatedly stated that there is no way that he will leave amid the high-profile interest from Liverpool as well as Real Madrid.
Yan Diomande (RB Leipzig)
A more attainable target is RB Leipzig winger Yan Diomande, who is expected to be on the move this summer. The 19-year-old enjoyed a sensational debut season in the Bundesliga, which saw him attract interest from Liverpool, Arsenal and many others.
Leipzig would prefer to keep the Ivory Coast international for another season, but they will not stand in his way if a club matches their €100m valuation of the winger.
Bazoumana Toure (Hoffenheim)
Another Bundesliga starlet, Diomande's compatriot Bazoumana Toure has been starring for Hoffenheim. Liverpool have been scouting the 20-year-old, who is planning to move this summer.
Toure doesn't quite have the same end product as Diomande yet, so he is expected to be significantly cheaper than his Ivory Coast teammate. Hoffenheim are planning to make him their record sale for a fee in the region of €45m-€50m.
Yankuba Minteh (Brighton)
Yankuba Minteh is a player who is intimately familiar with Arne Slot, having previously played for the Dutchman during a loan spell at Feyenoord from his then-club Newcastle.
Brighton paid €35m for him in 2024, and their reluctance to sell means that he is likely to command a hefty fee. Liverpool are nevertheless interested in the Gambian.
Francisco Conceicao (Juventus)
Juventus star Francisco Conceicao has impressed with some of his dribbling ability in Serie A this season, even if his end product can certainly still improve.
FootballTransfers has been able to confirm that Conceicao is a player Liverpool are interested in, with his positional versatility making him a very attractive option.
Mateus Fernandes (West Ham)
Wingers are not the only players on Liverpool's radar. The Anfield club would also be well-advised to add more legs in the midfield, which has been a big problem area this season.
Mateus Fernandes is one player they have been keeping close tabs on, and there has reportedly even been a meeting with his camp already. However, West Ham are reluctant sellers and will demand north of €60m.
Archie Gray (Tottenham)
Archie Gray has been a rare positive in a rotten Tottenham season, and rival Premier League clubs have taken notice. The young Englishman has been linked with various clubs, including Liverpool.
Versatile and now experienced at the Premier League level, Gray would be an ideal signing for Liverpool, given that the midfielder can also fill in at right-back, which is a position that has repeatedly caused headaches this season.
Joao Gomes (Wolves)
With Wolves set to play in the Championship next season, Joao Gomes is fully expected to jump ship this summer. Liverpool are one of numerous clubs monitoring his situation.
The Brazilian reportedly dreams of playing for the Reds, but the Anfield club will face stiff competition for the 25-year-old's signature, as he is also a key target for Napoli and Man Utd.
Khephren Thuram (Juventus)
Khephren Thuram has been doing well for Juventus, and this has not gone unnoticed on Merseyside, where the Frenchman is a very familiar name. Liverpool were repeatedly linked with Thuram during his days at OGC Nice.
The Reds have seemingly reignited their interest in the 25-year-old, who looks tailor-made for Premier League football. He could be a shrewd acquisition.
Josh Acheampong (Chelsea)
Chelsea insist that Josh Acheampong is the club's future, but actions speak louder than words, and so does the youngster's game time. The highly-rated prospect has not seen as much action as many fans think he deserves.
As a result, he has become the subject of speculation, and Liverpool are said to be one of several clubs keen on pouncing on this potential market opportunity. Chelsea don't want to sell, but if he expresses a desire to leave, they may have no choice.
