Arsenal 'ready' to sell Gabriel Martinelli
Arsenal are reportedly ready to sell Gabriel Martinelli if they receive an offer worth €45 million this summer.
The Brazil international has been a regular for the Gunners since his arrival at the club in 2019, but rumours have linked him with a summer exit and it’s believed that a departure could take place amid Arsenal’s pursuit of a new left winger.
FootballTransfers understands that Mikel Arteta’s side are currently in talks with Rafael Leao’s representatives ahead of a potential €80m move later this year, while the north London giants have also been tipped to challenge Liverpool for the signing of RB Leipzig wonderkid Yan Diomande.
The Ivorian’s team-mate Antonio Nusa has been touted as a potential option for the Gunners too, as has Newcastle United star Anthony Gordon, with the club keen to bolster their attacking options ahead of the 2026-27 campaign.
Leandro Trossard and Martinelli have shared duties on the left flank this term, but the latter has only scored one goal and provided two assists in 22 Premier League appearances so far this season.
He has fared far better in the Champions League, registering seven goal contributions in seven games, however his form has led Arsenal officials to consider a 2026 sale.
Will Gabriel Martinelli leave Arsenal?
Spanish publication Fichajes claim that Barcelona are closely monitoring Martinelli’s situation at Arsenal ahead of this summer, despite the fact they are likely to sign Manchester United loanee Marcus Rashford on a permanent deal.
The England international has enjoyed a successful loan stint at Camp Nou and rumours suggest he is edging closer to joining the club permanently this summer.
However, Hansi Flick’s side remain interested in finalising an agreement for Martinelli and they have reportedly been informed that a minimum offer of €45m will be required to sign the Brazil winger.
Martinelli’s current contract at Arsenal is due to expire in 2027 and Barcelona are ready to intensify their pursuit of his signature ahead of the upcoming summer transfer window. Talks with intermediaries are reportedly ongoing and the Blaugrana are expected to submit a formal bid shortly.
If they are successful, it will force Arsenal to sign a replacement for the 24-year-old, with the aforementioned Leao, Diomande, Gordon and Nusa among their top targets, in addition to Athletic Club superstar Nico Williams.
