Chelsea prepare Bruno Guimaraes offer

Chelsea have identified Newcastle United captain Bruno Guimaraes as a key transfer target for the upcoming summer window.

That is according to Spanish publication Fichajes, who claim that Chelsea are willing to submit an opening offer worth €75 million for the Newcastle captain, who has less than two-and-a-half years remaining on his current contract at St James’ Park.

It’s reported that Chelsea are keen to add Guimaraes to a stacked midfield roster that already includes the likes of Andrey Santos, Moises Caicedo and Enzo Fernandez, and the Blues hierarchy are “working around the clock” to finalise a bid that will suit all parties, as per Fichajes.

Julian Alvarez truth

Chelsea have been heavily linked with a move for Atletico Madrid striker Julian Alvarez in recent weeks, but he is reportedly not one of the club’s current transfer targets.

A number of elite European clubs have been touted as possible destinations for Alvarez, with Arsenal, Barcelona and Chelsea considered to be three of the teams closely monitoring his situation in Spain.

However, The Daily Mail now report that Alvarez is not currently on Chelsea’s transfer radar, despite multiple reports suggesting otherwise.

The Blues have already finalised pre-agreements for Emmanuel Emegha (Strasbourg) and Dastan Satpaev (Kairat Almaty) to join the club this summer, while Nicolas Jackson could feasibly return to the first-team fold once his loan spell at Bayern Munich expires in July.

As a result, the reigning Club World Cup champions have reportedly not yet added Alvarez to their list of targets for the 2026 summer transfer window, despite the struggles of Liam Delap since his arrival from Ipswich Town last year.

Bart Verbruggen wanted

Chelsea are ready to pay Brighton's asking price for Bart Verbruggen, according to TEAMtalk.

The Blues were unable to finalise a deal for AC Milan star Mike Maignan last summer and despite Robert Sanchez’s improvement this season, they have now added Verbruggen to their transfer wishlist.

The Dutchman has just over two years remaining on his current contract at Brighton and it’s reported that he is keen to take the next step in his career this summer.

Chelsea chase Kees Smit

Chelsea are keen to beat Real Madrid to the signing of AZ Alkmaar midfielder Kees Smit this summer, as per Fichajes.

The Netherlands wonderkid has been widely tipped to secure a move to the Bernabeu later this year, but Chelsea are also interested in landing him and they are ready to battle Los Blancos for his signature.

AZ are understood to value Kees at €60m and Chelsea believe he would be a perfect fit at Stamford Bridge amid their pursuit of the best young talents in world football.

Chelsea lead Dusan Vlahovic race

Chelsea are currently leading the race to sign Serbia striker Dusan Vlahovic, who is set to leave Juventus when his contract expires in July.

That is according to TEAMtalk, who claim that Liam Rosenior’s side are ahead of Newcastle United and Tottenham Hotspur in the bid to purchase the 26-year-old this summer.

Vlahovic has scored six goals in 17 games so far this season and his Estimated Transfer Value (ETV) currently stands at €23.6m.
