Chelsea 'prepare' opening offer for Vinicius Jr
Chelsea are preparing a €150 million proposal for Real Madrid superstar Vinicius Junior, according to a bombshell report in Spain.
The Brazil international has 18 months remaining on his current contract at the Bernabeu and it has been reported that he will not sign fresh terms with the 15-time Champions League winners unless his relationship with Xabi Alonso improves.
The pair have clashed on a number of occasions so far this season and it’s understood that Vinicius could be sold this year in order to fund moves for a new central midfielder and a new striker.
Several clubs in the Saudi Pro League are interested in signing the 25-year-old this summer, although he has also been linked with an eye-catching move to the Premier League in recent weeks.
Liverpool, Manchester City and Manchester United have all been touted as possible destinations for Vinicius, however Chelsea have now emerged as the frontrunners for his signature from England.
That is according to Fichajes, who claim that a €150m offer has been prepared by the Blues, who continue to enquire over a possible deal for the Brazil winger.
It’s reported that Chelsea will submit an initial bid worth €125m, in addition to a further €25m in performance-related add-on clauses, as they look to pounce amid Vini Jr’s current contractual situation at Real Madrid.
Vinicius Jr to Chelsea?
Fichajes claim that Vinicius would be open to joining Chelsea this year and the Blues are reportedly ready to offer him a contract he deems acceptable.
Furthermore, it has been widely suggested that Real Madrid are open to selling the Brazilian in 2026 and they plan to use the funds generated from a sale to pursue a blockbuster deal for Manchester City’s Erling Haaland.
They will also target at least one central midfielder, with Vitinha (Paris Saint-Germain) and Enzo Fernandez (Chelsea) among their priority options.
