Chelsea are reportedly interested in signing Real Madrid star Eduardo Camavinga next year, amid his uncertain future at the Santiago Bernabeu.

The France international still has four years remaining on his current contract with Los Blancos, but he has been linked with a surprise exit on a number of occasions over the past few months, with Xabi Alonso eager to sign a new central midfielder.

The Real Madrid boss was interested in bringing Angelo Stiller to the Spanish capital this summer, following a stellar campaign at Stuttgart, while the club have also been tipped to pursue a bombshell move for Manchester United outcast Kobbie Mainoo due to his limited involvement under Ruben Amorim.

Camavinga’s place in the Real Madrid squad is therefore at risk, and Chelsea have “set their sights” on signing the ex-Stade Rennais midfielder in 2026, according to Spanish outlet Fichajes.

Enzo Maresca is reportedly eager to bolster his midfield roster, amid Romeo Lavia’s seemingly never-ending injury issues, and Chelsea view Camavinga as the ideal candidate to complement their current options in the middle of the park.

Furthermore, Fichajes claim that Real Madrid would be willing to sell the Frenchman for €60 million next year in order to raise funds for possible reinforcements.

Enzo Fernandez to Real Madrid?

If Real Madrid sanction the sale of Camavinga next summer, they are likely to pursue a move for Enzo Fernandez - with the possibility of a swap deal therefore on the cards.

The Argentina superstar has been a priority midfield target for Los Blancos ever since his emergence at Benfica and he remains on their transfer wish-list to this day. In fact, recent reports from Spain claim that he “will” join Real Madrid if Chelsea face serious punishment from The FA after being hit with 74 regulation breaches.

However, Fernandez still has seven years remaining on his current contract at Stamford Bridge and Chelsea are unlikely to permit a departure as he is one of the most important players in Maresca’s system.
